At Arsenal Records, we know that we can't match major label connections and money but they can't match our passion for our bands or our work ethic. We put more into our bands then anyone else can say they have. Handing a band money to record is only one of many steps it takes to make a band succeed.
So what is Arsenal Records and what are we all about?

After working under various names such as THIRD STRING RECORDS and NOMAD RECORDS, Mike Ziemer found that Arsenal Records was the name that he wanted to build a strong company under. After doing promotion, management, and booking for over half a decade, Ziemer wanted to give something more to the bands he knew and loved. He was sick of seeing bands go to big labels and be instantly forgotten by not just the label that signed them, but the fans that couldn't see the band. It took watching some of his favorite bands breaking up over labels that couldn't back up what they original promised the bnad, to make Ziemer realize that he could give something back to bands and help them get noticed before signing to bigger labels.

Under other labels, Ziemer has put out records for Red Letter Union, The Background, and The Motion...as well as a 22 band local compilation of Dallas bands called "Dear Mom, The Scene Here Sucks." which sold out of all it's original pressing.

ARSENAL RECORDS is a stepping stone label to help launch bands onto the national scene by not just putting out their music, but offering SOLID promotion and SOLID tour booking. With all the details sorted out and fresh young bands being announced soon, ARSENAL RECORDS appears to be a label to watch in 2008.
